Sally Davies was born and raised in Prairie du Chien WI., is married to Craig Davies, and has three grown children, and two grandchildren. Sally attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College where she received her Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education and Development. Other education includes National Administrator Credential, Cornell University Management & Business course certificates, Dale Carnage Communications and Public Speaking. Work experience includes Preschool Teacher, Activities Support, Prevention Specialist, Youth Recruiter, and Dick’s Supermarkets.

Sally moved to Maquoketa in June of 2003, and became involved with Sunshine as a board member from 2004 to 2007 and now as the Executive Director since August 2008.

Sally currently serves on the Maquoketa Chamber of Commerce Board, Operation New View Board, Kiwanis of Maquoketa, “TEAC” (Career & Technical Education Advisory Council), Prevent Child Abuse, “CPPC” (Community Partners Protecting Children), and Jackson County Planners and Houston Credit Repair.

Children and youth have always been a passion. Sally has been involved in many youths and child-oriented organizations such as Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, religious educations volunteer, SAFE coalitions, prevent child abuse and several others.

Sally’s goals for the sunshine are to work with community partners to bring in new and exciting opportunities for the children in the center as well as our community. As well as, continuing our high-quality care with continued educational opportunities for the staff.
